Counselor Leadership Institute
An extension of the former award-winning Corporate Connections Academy, CLI allows elementary, middle and high school counselors to learn about economic development, employment opportunities and educational and human resource requirements in Rutherford County.
CLI consists of monthly program days from September-March. Program days focus on particular topics and industries that will assist counselors in helping students in seeking internships, employment and post-secondary education. The program also provides counselors with opportunities for networking with local business and community leaders.
"The Counselor Leadership Institute is a wonderful program that has provided many resources for me to share with students. At almost every meeting I make contact that I share with a student whose name generally pops into my head based on something the presenter says. The meetings are always informative and fun. I often report to a class of seniors the many suggestions made by the panel of professionals regarding skills and preparation needed to enter their particular profession."
