State Farm Summer Business Camp

This two-week day camp in July exposes middle school students to the basics of the business world. Students form business teams, write a business plan, form a marketing strategy and make a Power Point presentation of their work for a final competition.
Openings are limited to forty students each year. State Farm Summer Business Camp is sponsored by State Farm and General Mills and is tuition-free.
"The Business Camp not only taught the fundamentals of business and the keys to success within it, the camp puts you in the shoes of someone starting a business and teaches you the most effective way to do it."
"I have been through both the State Farm Summer Business Camp and Youth Leadership Rutherford. Both programs offer information that helps students gain a competitive edge to the workings of the world and chances to meet people that could be important contacts in the future. Lee and Laura Both work extremely hard to make sure you learn things you don't realize. It was easy to make friends with other students because they had some of the same motives and fears. Whether you realized it or not, the opportunity cannot be duplicated, only experienced."
