Camp space is limited. In order to be selected students must submit an application, which includes an essay and two letters of recommendation. Application documents will be made available in 2020.

BEP Foundation was chosen to receive a grant from the Predators Foundation for STEMEx, read more about it here.

Due to the generosity of our sponsors and partners, BEP can offer STEMEx at no charge to any student who resides in Rutherford County. This allows students to attend camp regardless of their families’ resources, with both lunch and snacks covered each day.   Students who will be going into sixth, seventh, or eighth grade in the fall of 2020 are eligible to apply for the camp. BEP is unable to provide supervision to students before or after camp. However, students can be dropped off at 7:45  each day.

STEMEx is a tuition-free summer day camp that introduces students to different careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. STEMEx includes tours of local businesses that utilize STEM skills and interactive discussions with STEM professionals. Students participate in hands-on activities with introductions to curriculum for STEM-related programs at local educational institutions.
